To mount racks/shelves
First, hold rack/shelf on wall in the desired location where it will be hanging. Once at desired height put a pencil mark on the wall under the bottom left mounting hole. Then hold a level on the pencil mark and put a pencil mark where when level the other end of the rack will end up. This will give you an idea of where the rack will be so you can pretend to hang items on it to be sure the height is accurate before completing install. This will be a guide to hold the shelf up to the wall so the screws can be anchored. During screw insertion you can put the level on top of the shelf for fine adjustments.

To mount corner shelves, first hold shelf in the desired corner where it will be hanging. Once at desired height put a pencil mark on the wall under the bottom inside corner. Then, using a level from that pencil mark, put a pencil mark on wall under the shelf under each mounting hole's general location. This will be a guide to hold the shelf up to the wall so the screws can be anchored. During screw insertion you can put the level on top of the shelf for fine adjustments.

**It is recommended to use a stud finder to locate a solid stud in the wall to anchor to. As long as at least one screw is anchored to a stud you can have peace of mind that the rack will stay securely mounted to the wall once weight is added to the hooks.
*If a stud is not located during screw insertion you can get wall anchors from your local hardware store for a more solid install, but it is not completely necessary if you are only hanging light items.
