Everything we do we try to incorporate used, recycled, environmentally friendly, and local purchases.
Following the motto "Anything to keep our world green! Reuse! Recycle! Have Fun!"

Our products are always made from fine wood that would otherwise have been burned or thrown away. The barn boards are from local Door county barns and make perfect material for frames, and the silverware hook board backing.

The silverware is purchased from local antique shops, estate auctions and/or donated. The use of new materials simply would leave our jewelry and crafts without the rustic and "Door County feel" that makes them so unique.

The silverware sculptures are made by hand with jewelers tools and some bigger shop tools. Some also need soldering or other means, to be completed. They are all original ideas by the artists Jeremy & Jenni.

The photography is mostly from Door County, taken by either Jeremy or Jenni. We strive to take the picture time after time until it works, sometimes it takes months to get the perfect shot with little to no editing. In the end it is almost always worth the effort. We have been taking the pictures you see here at jjevensenart since the beginning of 2007. So they are all fairly new for your liking.

The stretchers for paintings are made in house as well with 7 ounce cotton canvas primed. All the paintings that are completed are hung on the walls in our house and pictured in our online gallery. Every time we see them new ideas are brought about; It is very exciting!

The picture frames are routered by hand for the rabbet. They are then mitered, glued, joined, sanded, painted, & a protective clear coat is applied. Also brass hangars, stainless steel hanging wire and corner bumpers are attached for wall protection.
